ฝึกปฏิบัติการพยาบาลมารดาในระยะตั้งครรภ์ ระยะคลอด และระยะหลังคลอดในภาวะปกติ การวางแผนครอบครัว การทำคลอดปกติ การดูแลทารกแรกเกิดทันที โดยใช้ กระบวนการพยาบาลในการดูแลอย่างเป็นองค์รวม คำนึงถึงความปลอดภัย ความเป็นปัจเจกบุคคล ความแตกต่างทางวัฒนธรรม การผสมผสานภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น ส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมของครอบครัว ภายใต้หลัก จริยธรรม กฎหมายและจรรยาบรรณวิชาชีพ
